Linda Vernon, President

Welcome to the Seacoast Newcomers Web site. This site was created to give those of you that drop by some general insight into what our Club is all about. The site is updated throughout the year with new special interest groups and information. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Our membership includes over 200 women who get together on a regular basis to socialize and enjoy a variety of special interests. Our monthly coffees are held in a member's home. As many as 30 to 50 women gather at the coffees to catch up with each other's news, sign up for future activities and participate in our monthly general meeting. Our luncheons are held at local restaurants each month and offer us a chance to socialize and enjoy great food. These gatherings are planned a year in advance, and always provide us with something new and exciting.

We have chosen Footprints Food Pantry, of Kittery, Maine, as our 2008/09 charity. Our efforts in 2007/08 raised money for last year's chosen charity, Compass Care, of Portsmouth. The cookbook, Coastal Connections, is available for purchase and proceeds benefit charity. A portion of the annual dues and other fundraisers will also benefit our chosen charity this year.

If  you are looking for friendship, fun and opportunities to be involved in activites you already know you enjoy or to try something new, then you have come to the right place. Sometimes it is difficult to start over in a new area and to find people with whom you have common interests. This club makes doing that so easy. In fact, you will find more activities and people to do things with than there are hours in the day! We hope to see you soon!
